2-1 at the final whistle saw Men’s 4th team get their first win of the year and 3 points on the board in Social LIGA. The game played vs HMS was as a traditional full 11-a-side at their request. Without a goal keeper and with no subs the Tornados came together, and with the help of Chen stepping in as a kicking back, the lads took the lead in the first half via Andy Ferguson.
The second half saw a recollected HMS come out fighting with a punishing attack on the Tornados missing a few opportunities before getting around the Tornados 3 man strong central defense to level the score.
This time it was Tornados time to recollect and after several good runs and some quick and accurate passing, Leo Shaw put one away with some good communication and an organised attack from the Tornados Strikers. The rest of the game played out with opportunities missed from both sides but the score line remained the same for the Tornados to take the win.
