Tornados L2s vs SCC

Ladies 2 Tornados went head to head against the SCC team in a scorching hot field hockey match on Saturday afternoon.

After a quite equal start, SCC managed to make a breakthrough in the second quarter and scored a (bouncy) goal.

Our defense continued to shine, stopping every other danger and even many penalty corners.

Shannon, our match clown, stopped a ball in the D with her hand resulting in a stroke for SCC. However our hero goalie, Hui Xin, rose to the occasion and made an incredible save.

Despite great team play and dominating the last 15mins, Tornados couldn’t turn the game around and secure a goal.
We showed sportsmanship and had good fun the whole game (as opposed to the yelling coach at the other end of the pitch).

Imagine what we could’ve done with more than 3 subs, or a better fitness level?? More good games to come!
