Tornados Hockey Club 1 - SCC 3

In a clash of financial Goliath vs David, Tornados fought hard and put SCC under pressure, but couldn't capitalise on their good work and were let down by their play in both D's to lose 3-1.

With lightning visible and thunder rolling until just before the scheduled start of the game, neither team were very confident that the game would even happen. At 6:15, the lightning warning went out and after a rushed warmup the game kicked off. Tornados started slowly and conceded three soft goals to take the sting out of the game.

As the Ladies 1s trickled in, the support from the crowd raised our game and the momentum was with Tornados in the second half, with the hard work and pressure finally leading to a late goal to ignite a spark of hope for a comeback. This was short lived as a question from Laxton led to a green card for our Captain and put the pressure back on the Nados.

We can look back at the game as a missed opportunity and with a full bench, improved discipline and hard work on the training ground, we will have our David slingshot moment on the 20th May. A big shout out to the boys up front who ran their asses off right at the end of a full day of fasting
